Yes, I realize that is a bold headline, but I think I’m pretty sure it is a true claim. I had heard about Mel’s Diner in Tomball for years, but it took me until last month to actually make it out for my first experience. All I have to say is “wow.” Very affordable, incredibly good, and well worth the drive outside The Woodlands bubble.
Legends about the “Mega-Mel” are well-known in our area (you need to click on that link…seriously). Finishing the gargantuan burger in less than two hours will get your name on the wall of fame. You should ask the Nentwig twins about their “strategy” in attaining this accomplishment.
Even the simple double-cheeseburger is a tall order…Just take a look at this photographic evidence:
Don’t forget to go with tots instead of fries. You won’t be disappointed.
