Not long ago The Loft did a series on the book of Revelation called “Letter to the Church at Houston,” and I was asked to introduce it. I thought I was signing on to a tought assignment when I accepted, but I ended up being really encouraged by the preparation I did and the truth I tried to communicate. Regardless of the specifics around your theology of the end times, there is a simple but profound peace in the knowledge that when it all comes down to it, LOVE WINS.
I also find myself thinking lately about the other lens through which we should read and understand Revelation; HE’S COMING BACK. The Christmas season, the time we remember the coming of Christ, always makes me think of his SECOND coming. I’ve just recently got to the point where that concept is full of hope instead of uncertainty or confusion.
